Caring, responsible parents are not abandoning public schools because the system lacks money. They are fleeing to escape the touchy-feely, feel-good social engineering and New Age indoctrination of the Pagan Left.
Instead of teaching practical application skills, the emphasis is on togetherness, teamwork, diversity, culture, community, loss of self and subservience. Intelligence, common sense, reason, standards, values, discipline, decency and spirituality are forbidden. Children are taught that they are worthless as individuals and can only have value as part of a Group. They are taught that Everybody must belong to Everybody else and Nobody is allowed to belong to Themselves. This is demeaning, dehumanizing and demoralizing. This externally applied ‘universal oneness’ breeds hatred and violence.
Text books proclaim the dogma of the Leftist hatred for America, democracy, civilization, and capitalism. Children are spoon-fed a rewritten version of history that condemns everything patently American, and demonizes our white, male European founders. Individual freedom is ridiculed while collectivism is exalted.
Teacher’s unions guarantee mediocrity and incompetence. They follow the Communist tenet that provides all workers, the best and the worst, the same amount of money and jobs-for-life security. Merit is incomprehensible. "Academic freedom" is an invitation to the Devil.
Leftists are predators. Inherent is the instinct to control and manipulate all living things and our children are the easiest prey.
As with the welfare system, most of the billions of tax dollars blackmailed into "education" over the past forty years have been wasted on bureaucracy. There’s not enough money in the world to finance this kindergarten-mentality scheme.
There will never be any improvement in education as long as subversives and anarchists control the What, Why and How of teaching. The brainwashing and propaganda of the Left will continue until Intelligent People decide to rid the system of these malignant and insidious cancers.

abolish the federal Dept of Ed and return control of schools to its rightful place in local communities, abolish teacher/professor tenure, install merit pay for teachers, implement school vouchers or any other system that allows parents a choice of where to send their children, eliminate public school sex education and return it to its rightful place in the privacy of family, reintroduce intelligence testing and group students accordingly so learning can once again occur according to ability instead of merely teaching to the lowest common denominators, reintroduce civics as a discrete subject in all grades, introduce attractive government incentives for college students who major in math and science, and require every public school day to start with a flag ceremony and recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
